Shanghai-Jiang Nan 8 Days Trip [DAY 2 - PART 1]

Finally, the long-awaited episode is here. Enjoy reading it while not forget to give me some comments.
Let's the story continues, the ep. 2 is here. The 2nd day of tour.
24th of December 2009.
We woke up at 6.30am after a long sleep on the previous day. After had our buffet-style breakfast at the hotel, we continued our journey.
We went to ChengHuang Temple market(城隍庙集市). In China, they use the word '庙' to indicate a crowded and famous place. Eg, 夫子庙街 etc.

Wow.. i like their super-big-delicious soup dumpling so much. Have to use straw to suck the soup/gravy inside.

Another Shanghai XiaoLongPao(小笼包 soup dumpling) stall. From the long queue in the photo, u shall know how tasty were they.

小笼包. i ate 3 of them. There's only one sentence could describe the way to eat these 小笼包 : 'bite, squirt and taste.'

Sizzling renowned 臭豆腐. I believe that many people thought that 臭豆腐 were made with some awful stuffs but in facts, they made them through the process of fermentation. Refers to Form 4 Biology text book, anaerobic respiration of plants. =)

Afterward, we paid a visit to 天脉翡翠博览中心, a place where the salesmen/saleswomen were very annoying...

'BiXiu' 貔貅. The instructor explained it thoroughly but still very complicated...

Chinese are very selfish. It said to be by touching the BiXiu (貔貅), he/she will gain good luck. BUT, after touching them, we have to put our hands into our pocket and bring back home.

周文王,named Ji Chang (姬昌) was the founder of 风水,八卦 and bla bla bla... I have forgotten what did the instructor told us.
They asked us to buy the 貔貅 in order to gain luck, they still said I'm potential to be leader. But of course we didn't bought. ==

People there applying environmental-friendly way of living. They use battery to generate electricity for their motorbike instead of using fuel, which is bad to our beloved earth.
After that, we went to 苏州.
